Technical Sessions

This is a small preliminary listing of our Technical Sessions.  In the coming weeks, we'll be filling this out much more thoroughly.  You may wish to look at our list of Technical Sessions and photos from our conference last year in September.

As we get closer to the conference, we'll specify a specific schedule for these sessions.

___201:  Check Point Licensing and Version R70

"How to migrate to the new "blades" licensing model in a manner that will save you money, optimize timing of the upgrades and help them achieve the correct combination of Check Point technology to accomplish their goals."

There has always been considerable confusion and mystery over Check Point licensing schemes.  The “new and simplified” blade licensing is no different.  While it is inevitable that Check Point customers will have to move to blades eventually, this talk addresses how to do so in an optimal manner.  Real world examples and advice will be imparted to help Check Point customers save money, time the upgrade optimally and arrive at the correct combination of Check Point technology to achieve their goals.

Come learn the current status of these licensing changes from a reseller-based expert.

Duration:  50 minutes

Presenter:  Glenn Brzuziewski is Managing Partner/Owner of Hurricane Labs.

___202:  Integrating Virtualization In To Your Check Point Environment

"Integrating Virtualization In To Your Check Point Environment"

Is your organization moving towards virtualization? The push for greener solutions that do more with less, has made people take a hard look at a virtualization strategy for managing infrastructure. Multi-core architectures have brought a new level of power to the end users, but without the software being specifically designed to take full advantage of it, there is no perceivable benefit coming from these systems. This presentation seeks to demonstrate unique ways to not just ensure threat management for a virtual infrastructure, but to also leverage it as part of the infrastructure change. When you take away the buzz, and the clouds abate, will you be left with clear skies?
